DL3000-KFX
DF1 to DH+
Note: The DL3000-KFX has now been replaced by the DL3500-DH+/DF1.
The DataLink DL3000-KFX contains two serial protocols and is software configurable for either standard DF1 or bridging modes. Standard DF1 mode is used to provide a serial interface to DH+ and is suitable as an alternative to A-B's serial interfaces to DH+. Bridging Mode is designed to enable the DL3000-KFX to be used in pairs to bridge local and remote DH+ networks.
The serial DF1 to DH+ conversion protocol available in the DL3000-KFX is the same one available in the DL2000-KFX product. When configured for standard DF1 mode the DL3000-KFX provides an economical, compact alternative to Allen-Bradley's 1770-KF2. This protocol converts A-B DF1 serial protocol to DH+ network protocol and provides a serial interface to DH+ for computers, modems and OEM equipment. Applications include PLC programming and graphical user interfaces (GUIs and MMIs). The DL3000-KFX will interface all PCs, Macintosh, desktops, and laptops to DH+. The DL3000's size, portability, and the choice between a freestanding and DIN rail model make it especially convenient for use in the office, the plant floor, or when travelling.
