DL2000-KFR
DH+ or RIO to DF1 Protocols
The DataLink DL2000-KFR is a compact, freestanding, serial interface to Allen-Bradley industrial
networks. This unit contains two network protocols, software configurable for either A-B
Data Highway Plus (DH+) or Remote I/O Link (RIO) networks. In RIO mode the DataLink
connects any serial device capable of A-B serial DF1 (Standard DF1) protocol to A-B's RIO
Link. DH+ mode connects any serial device capable of Standard DF1 protocol to A-B's DH+.
When the DL2000-KFR is configured for RIO
mode the network interface of the DataLink looks
like an adapter (virtual rack) to a PLC scanner
controlling the RIO Link. The serial interface of
the DataLink responds to DF1 protocol
commands initiated by devices such as PCs,
computers and OEM equipment. Applications for
this unit include Operator Interfaces (HMIs),
SCADA, Data Acquisition, Variable Speed Drives and Process Control equipment.
Compact and Lightweight:
Size 7.5" x 5.5" x 1.5"; Weight 2.2 lbs
Flexible Serial Interfacing:
RS232C and RS422/RS485
Easy Configuration:
All parameters are menu-driven
Dual Protocols:
DH+ and RIO adapter modes
DH+ Mode:
Alternative to A-B 1770-KF2
DH+ Speeds:
57.6 Kb and 115.2 Kb
RIO Mode:
RIO speeds 57.6, 115.2 and 230.4 Kb, the unit can be configured as any valid rack number
and can be set to cover a 7-rack address range to increase block transfer capability. An
HMI can read all RIO image table data, write up to 128 bits, and read / write a total of 32
data blocks per rack (maximum of 64 words each).
Communications:
A-B Serial DF1 interface to 57.6 Kbaud
